We specialise in <a href=\"https:\/\/ui.com\/wi-fi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ubiquiti Unifi<\/a> installs, which we believe deliver the very best Wi-Fi experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hardware fixes \/ upgrades:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RAM and Disk drive upgrades: HDDs and SSDs<\/li>\n<li>Swapping out very old drives with modern equivalents (e.g. converting a floppy disk drive to use USB sticks or SD cards. or converting a 3.5\" HDD into an SSD drive)<\/li>\n<li>Replacing batteries on laptops, finding replacement power adapters<\/li>\n<li>Replacing old CMOS \/ BIOS \/ RTC batteries, including coin batteries and soldered batteries.\u00a0 Resolving issues with RTC \/ and BIOS errors, including boot failures after replacement. Resetting of NVRAM, PRAM and SMC on Macs<\/li>\n<li>Re-capping: unfortunately, I don't generally undertake re-capping. I prefer not to do \"speculative\" recapping, as it generally more issues than it resolves. And I don't normally do re-capping of failed capacitors either, unless all other options have been exhausted<\/li>\n<li>Fan replacement: case fans and graphics card fans wear out over time and get noisy or stop working. Early computer fans were not particularly quiet or efficient either: replacing them is generally a straightforward job, with suppliers such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.noctua.at\/en\">Noctua Europe<\/a> providing great replacements<\/li>\n<li>Electronics repairs: unfortunately, i'm not able to diagnose or repair electrical \/ electronic faults with motherboards or peripheral cards or other devices: that's somewhat beyond my skillset. However, I can do basic soldering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting up and troubleshooting cloud data services, including iCloud Family Sharing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Moving to new hardware:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Migrating data and applications to new hardware.
